Network of neighbourhoods for innovative policies on gentrification
This is a topic from the Horizon Europe call for proposals under the research and innovation component of the NEB Facility — the first-ever multiannual funding instrument dedicated to supporting New European Bauhaus projects.
While gentrification is sometimes associated with urban renewal, it often results in serious negative consequences, including the displacement of long-term residents, loss of cultural identity, and deepening socio-economic divides.
Addressing these impacts requires targeted, innovative, and inclusive policy responses.
The NEB Facility 2025–2027 introduces a “Network of Neighbourhoods for Innovative Policies on Gentrification”, empowering local communities to participate in decision-making and mitigate the negative consequences of gentrification that may result from interventions aligned with the New European Bauhaus.
-Total estimated EU contribution: €2.5 million for up to 1 project
-Deadline for submissions: 12 November 2025
