Launch of new IHI calls 4 and 5

The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) has just launched IHI – calls 4 and 5

In June, IHI published draft topic texts for calls 4 and 5. IHI has now officially launched both calls. The topics contribute to key EU policies such as the European Green Deal and the ‘3Rs’ goals of replacing, reducing and refining the use of animals in research.

• Call 4

IHI – call 4  is a two-stage call with topics on the 3Rs, patient-centric blood sample collection, clinical trials, and the environmental impacts of healthcare. Deadline for short proposals: 8 November 2023.

• Call 5

IHI – call 5 is a single-stage call with topics on the 3Rs, theranostics, stroke management and synthetic data. Deadline for full proposals: 16 January 2024.

Why apply?

IHI calls for proposals are an excellent opportunity for researchers to take part in ground-breaking cross-sector collaborative projects that aim to deliver tangible benefits for patients. Scientists from academia, diverse industry sectors, SMEs, mid-sized companies, hospitals and patients’ organisations are encouraged to get involved.
