Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) Funding Opportunities

The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) has now launched IHI – call 9 and IHI call 10.

IHI – call 9 is an applicant-driven single-stage call for proposals with five topics, each aligned with one of the five

specific objectives (SOs) in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda.

Deadline for submitting proposals for call 9: 29 April 2025

On 12 November 2024, a hybrid brokerage event facilitated networking and the early stages of consortium building for call 9. Pitches were presented at the event which are available here and our brokerage online platform will remain open for networking until the call deadline. IHI – call 10 is a two-stage call for proposals with the following topics:

1. Digital label: one source of comprehensive information for medical technology products
2. Enabling and safeguarding innovation in secondary use of health data in the European Health Data Space (EHDS)
3. Per- and Poly-fluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) exposure, emissions, and end-of-life management in the healthcare sector

Info sessions and networking

The IHI Call Days for call 9 and 10 ran from 07 January to 16 January inclusive. They included info sessions on the topics, our rules & procedures, and preparing the financial parts of the proposal.
