Innovation Fund 2024 Call and Battery Info Day (17-18/12/2024)
On 3 December 2024, the Commission launched 2 calls for proposals under the Innovation Fund:
- IF24 Call with €2.4 billion available for Net-Zero technologies
- IF24 Battery with €1 billion available for electric vehicle battery cell manufacturing
The calls, funded by revenues from the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), aim to strengthen Europe’s manufacturing capacity, technological leadership, and supply chain resilience.
On 17 and 18 December, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA) are hosting an info day to present the key features and award criteria of these just opened calls, and present the lessons learned from previous calls to demonstrate best practices.
