Helping European cities tackle COVID19
Due to COVID-19, the application deadline was extended to 29 May. To help cities adapt to new challenging circumstances due to the coronavirus pandemic, ICC is offering webinars, a collection of cities’ best practices addressing both the health crisis and economic recovery, and other useful materials. Do not miss this opportunity!
Could your city be a centre of urban innovation? The Intelligent Cities Challenge is looking for 100 cities to join this unique opportunity.
The ICC will build on the success of the Digital Cities Challenge, a COSME project that already supported 41 European cities in developing a strategic vision and a roadmap for digital transformation.
Cities across Europe are living unprecedented times. The Intelligent Cities Challenge offers a community that leverages advanced technologies to become more “intelligent”, green and digital, but also more resilient face to the pandemic crisis.
The selected cities will receive:
- High quality and tailored guidance
- Expert support
- Access to advisory and city peer networks
- Capability building tools to drive policy goals and uptake of advance technologies
The 30-month programme will include more than 100 days of local visits, events, network support activities and much more. Through this initiative, cities can identify local strengths and formulate priorities, engage in new partnerships with other cities and learn from peers and mentors.
To be eligible, applicants must be local public government entities representing cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants. Full eligibility criteria are available on the official website.
