Since the presentation of the Schuman Declaration on 9 May 1950, the European Union has grown to become a symbol of strength and unity. To celebrate all that we have achieved in this time, this ‘Europe Day’ the Commission invites you to enjoy a day of activities, learning, and family fun right in the heart of Brussels.
The Berlaymont – one of the Commission’s most iconic buildings – will be open to the public on Saturday 4 May from 10:00–18:00 (last entry is at 17:30). The event is free to access and there is no need to register in advance.*
