EIT Health current open calls
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) health has several current opportunities.
Until 14 October 2024 is open a call on “Deep Tech Venture Builder“:
- Focus on the needs from the industry
- Identify research projects/innovations from academic partners that addresses these needs
- Academia applies together with a Venture builder or incubator to launch a new venture with support and training from EIT Health

Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) Call – The Re-Industrialisation of Europe
- Support the deployment of innovative healthcare products and production processes for pharmaceuticals.
- Calling for projects linked to the IPCEI Med4Cure workstreams:
A. Collecting, gathering and studying bio-resources.
B. Tools for better understanding disease biology and increasing medical translatability.
C. Processing innovations through enhanced, drug discovery, preclinical and clinical procedures.
D. Innovative production processes and tools towards sustainability and resilience across the health value chain. - One-year projects involving IPCEI direct partner/associated partner, one micro or small enterprise, and at least one academic organisation (research institute, university, hospital) or healthcare service provider
- Maximum Grant €1million, 50% co-funding
- Call deadline: 15.10.2024
Flagships Call – Digital Transformation of Healthcare
- Focusses on the development of, and access to, health technologies and digital medical devices, to support the digital health transformation in Europe
- Calling for innovative projects or an idea for an upskilling/reskilling education or accelerator programme under one of the following activities:
- Education modules towards EIT-labelled certification – calling 17 module topics
- EIT Health Catapult
- DiGinnovation programme
- Innovation to Market Projects
- Consortia: at least 2 participants coming from independent organisations and different CLC regions. For innovation projects, the commercialising partner must be included in the consortium. Other criteria specified for each activity.
- Funding: up to €50k for Education modules, €350k for DiGinnovation and €1million for Innovation to Market
- Matchmaking: 8-9 October, Santander, Spain – registration closes 30 September
- Call deadline: 5 November 2024
