EDITORIAL 24.04.2015 “Smart Cities in Horizon 2020”

energy efficiency citySmart Cities are a priority in the European Commission funding schemes. Call for proposals on “SCC-01-2015 Smart Cities and Communities” under Horizon 2020 address the issue on three integrated dimensions – energy, transport and ICT – and aims to involve public administrations, private sector and academia.

NCP Brussels is part of several NCP thematic networks in Europe, e.g. NCPs CaRE (environment) and C-Energy 2020 (energy), which support the creation of collaborative European consortia to submit Smart Cities proposals under Horizon 2020.

Such networks also support several events which aim to foster contacts between potential partners willing to submit such proposals. Indeed, which better way to find your future RDI project partners than a focused brokerage event?

The highly visible EEN Brokerage Event “E² Tech4Cities – Energy & Efficiency Technologies for Cities” will take place on 18 June 2015 in Brussels alongside the European Sustainable Energy Week 2015 organised by the European Commission.
