CALLS Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) 2016 + INFO SESSION

Under Horizon 2020, the Marie Curie Actions continue as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). They are part of the “Excellent Science” pillar and will award 6,162 million euro over the period 2014-2020.

The objective of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions is to provide excellent and innovative research training as well as attractive career and knowledge-exchange opportunities through cross-border and cross-sector mobility of researchers to better prepare them to face current and future societal challenges.

2016 CALL FOR MARIE SKŁODOWSKA-CURIE INNOVATIVE TRAINING NETWORKS (ITN)

ITN supports competitively selected joint research training and/or doctoral programmes, implemented by partnerships of universities, research institutions, research infrastructures, businesses, SMEs, and other socio-economic actors from different countries across Europe and beyond.

This is not only interesting for academia – there are opportunities for companies to get funding so that researchers can conduct a doctorate 50% at their premises and contribute to the company’s RDI strategy.

Main features :

1.Budget : € 370.00 Million in 2016 (EID: 25 Mio, EJD: 28 Mio)

2.Duration of projects : maximum 4 years

3.Consortium agreement : required only for EID

4.Support to early-stage researchers only

5.Fellowships of 3-36 months

6.Mobility rule : the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of his/her host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to his/her (first) recruitment.

7.Maximum 540 researcher-months per consortium (180 for EID with 2 partners)

8.Separate multidisciplinary panels for EID and EJD

2016 CALL FOR MARIE SKŁODOWSKA-CURIE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION STAFF EXCHANGE (RISE)

The RISE scheme promotes international and inter-sector collaboration through research and innovation staff exchanges, and sharing of knowledge and ideas from research to market (and vice-versa) for the advancement of science and the development of innovation.

Main features :

1.Budget : € 80 Million in 2016

2.Duration of projects : maximum 4 years

3.Minimum eligibility condition : participants in 3 different countries (at least 2 MS/AC)

4.Partnership agreement recommended

5.Support to short-term secondments of staff members (1-12 months)

6.Within Europe : only intersectoral secondments will be funded

7.No secondments between institutions located outside Europe or within the same MS/AC

8.No mobility rule required

9.Eligibility condition for staff member : 6 months at the sending institution prior to the first secondment

10.Maximum 540 researcher-months per consortium

Submission deadline :

•28 April 2016 (opening call : 8 December 2015)
