Success Story | NOOSA selected for EU funding
Hang on to your hat, their project will knock your socks off!
NOOSA’s R-SOCK project selected under SME Instrument
Brussels SME NOOSA just received the good news that their project R-SOCK had been funded under the EuroBoosTex call, itself under the SME Instrument.
R-SOCK is a collaborative project between NOOSA™ and NOLT (a French SME specializing in sustainable sports apparel). It seeks to redefine the sports socks industry by applying circularity to this product. It will set a model for other sectors and contribute to government policies supporting sustainable initiatives.
Their selection under the EuroBoosTex competitive procedure not only illustrates the excellence of their project but also the potential impact of this solution on the textile sector. NCP Brussels and Enterprise Europe Brussels were proud to help out in the application process by offering process clarifications, partner search support, and proofreading of the application.
Luna Aslan, co-founder of NOOSA: “As a startup, we are grateful to NCP Brussels and EEB for their ongoing support since our inception. Their expertise and assistance have enabled us to better grasp the requirements and expectations of European projects, which is crucial for a young and innovative company. Today, as we strive to bring about systemic change, European support is crucial to achieving our goals.”
NOOSA’s fiber’s potential has already been recognized by the Solar Impulse Foundation in 2021. Their expertise was also highlighted during the closing day of the Brussels 2023 “Shifting Economy Week”, in November 2023.
Can I be the next success story?
If you are a Brussels-based start-up / SME and would like to explore funding opportunities for your innovative projects, NCP Brussels and Enterprise Europe Brussels are there to help you!
The support of NCP Brussels will focus on funding opportunities under the Horizon Europe programme for R&I collaborative projects and disruptive SME projects under the EIC instrument. For these opportunities, your NCPs will be glad to help you identify the most relevant calls and facilitate contact with potential consortium partners. Furthermore, they will clarify any topic questions, screen your proposal, and support you with any additional questions, from the concrete submission to the signature of the grant agreement and subsequent reporting, in the case of a successful project. In the case of EIC projects, in addition, the NCP team can also organize a “white pitch” to better prepare you for the real jury pitch.
Complementarily, the support of Enterprise Europe Brussels will also include other sources of funding outside of Horizon Europe (such as the SME Instrument in this instance), but also access to the EEN partnering opportunities database as well as in-depth assessment of sustainability, innovation, and/or digitalization for the most ambitious SMEs, and further support regarding IP and tech transfer.
As for NOOSA, there is likely to be a funding programme at the EU level that will fit your project(s) like a glove! Still confused? Get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to support you at all stages of this process!
