Belfius Smart City Award 2015: 10 sustainable and innovative projects have been selected

The object of the award is the sensitisation of all involved stakeholders about the possibilities under the Smart Cities funding lines available.

All projects have been presented to the public thanks to press articles appeared in Le Vif/L’Express and Knack and by Belfius. During November, the public has been invited to vote for their favourite project.

On last 17 December, the following ten projects distinguishing themselves as particularly sustainable, innovative and integrated have been selected by a professional jury composed of representatives of the academic sectors and of specialists on Smart Cities from the aforementioned societies:

Anvers: “Stadslab2050 – Energie voor het Antwerpse hart”
Bruxelles-Ville: “OpenData.Bruxelles.be”
Deinze: “Blue-Bike Deinze”
Gand: “Energiecoaching op maat van uw bedrijf”
Herstal: “Herstal Ré-Evolution”

Among the shortilisted projects, the professional jury will then identify the winner, which will be recognised during the awarding ceremony on 2 December 2015.
