EIT Health Open Calls

Healthcare innovation does not happen in isolation
It requires aligned funding, cross border collaboration, strong ecosystems, and the right support at the right moment

That is why EIT Health continues to open new calls designed to connect innovators, learners and healthcare providers across Europe, helping turn promising ideas into scalable impact.

The New Models to Deliver Healthcare (NMDH) Call aims to bridge the gap between proven, market-ready health solutions at Innovation Maturity Level (IML) 8 to 9 and their adoption in real-world healthcare systems. This call offers funding for collaborative, industry-led, payor-supported and patient-centric projects that implement and scale value-based healthcare models.

Funding will be awarded for up to 24 months for activities enabling the real-world deployment of value-based healthcare solutions that demonstrably improve patient outcomes while optimising healthcare system efficiency and sustainability. This includes the deployment and integration of digital- and data-driven care pathways supporting outcome-based care, the collection and analysis of PREMs, PROMs and health economics data, the optimisation of clinical processes, and engagement with payors to support reimbursement decision-making.

EIT Health will fund up to 50% of the total project budget, up to a total grant funding amount of €700,000 per project.

EIT Health is calling for innovative digital and AI-powered medical technologies that are at an Innovation Maturity Level (IML) 6 and ready for clinical validation and market launch. Selected projects will be awarded funding to run pivotal clinical studies, collect real-world evidence to demonstrate safety and efficacy, apply for regulatory approval, and prepare for market commercialisation.

Funding will be awarded for up to 24 months for activities enabling clinical validation (i.e. pivotal clinical studies), regulatory submission (i.e. CE-mark application dossier), product finalisation, market readiness and commercial strategy.

EIT Health will fund up to 50% of the total project budget, up to a total grant funding amount of €850,000 per project.

Both calls close on 6 May 2026
