The European Commission has launched new calls for energy projects.
The European Commission has launched new calls for energy projects under Horizon Europe’s Work Programme for 2023-2024 Cluster 5 (Climate Action, Energy and Mobility).
The calls cover the following subject areas or ‘destinations’:
Destination 3 “Sustainable, secure and competitive energy“, with an envelope of €138,6 million, closing on 04 February 2025, covering:
- Technologies related to CO2 conversion, CO2 removal, futur ocean farms, next generation synthetic renewable fuel
- Application of PV for electric mobility, ressource efficiency of PV lifecycle
- Solutions for market uptake of renewable energy systems (RES), for community-integrated PV systems
- Renewable fuels and bioenergy
- Support to Strategic Energy Technologies (SET plans)
- Digital solutions for non-concentrated and concentrated solar plants
- Demonstaration for floatting wind concept
- Environmental and socio-economic impacts related to offshore windfarms
Under the same destination, The Clean Energy Transition (CET) Partnership, with an envelope of €97 million, has its next cut-off on 21 November 2024,
Destination 4 “Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use”. All open calls are under the Built4People partnership and amount to €50 million and are closing on 04 February 2025. They cover topics such:
- Sustainable and circular deep renovation workflows
- Automated solutions (including robotics)
- BIM-based processes and digital twins in regard to circular energy renovation.
- Adaptability , re-use, and deconstruction of building aligned with circular economy
- Digital solutions and participative design, planning, and management of buildings.
