EU-funded projects contributing to the EU Missions
EU Missions are a new way to bring concrete solutions to some of our greatest challenges, a novelty of the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. The five EU Missions were launched in 2021.
EU-funded projects managed by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) in different domains have supported the objectives of all five Missions. REA manages more than 2,400 projects relevant to the Missions under the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe research & innovation programmes, with a total EU contribution of over €5.7 billion.
