EU Biotech Act – Open Consultation
The biotech sector is essential for Europe’s health, sustainability, and economic resilience. It plays a key role in:
✅ Developing life-saving treatments
✅ Driving innovation and high-value jobs
✅ Enabling sustainable agriculture and circular economy solutions
✅ Strengthening the EU’s autonomy in critical technologies
To fully unlock this potential, the European Commission is preparing a Biotech Act — a set of measures to support biotech innovation from lab to market, while upholding the highest safety and environmental standards. Stakeholders’ input will feed into the impact assessment for the future European Biotech Act.
