Shaping the city of tomorrow: have your say on how Brussels can become a climate-neutral & smart city
The European Commission is consulting citizens all around Europe on the content and objectives of this Mission. Now it is time for Brussels citizens to have their say and actively take part in this consultation.
The event will present the latest research on how cities can adapt to environmental and socio-economic challenges while at the same time working better for and with citizens.
Programme:
- Openings by Barbara Trachte, Secretary of State of the Brussels-Capital Region, responsible for Economic Transition and Scientific Research
- Introduction Prosperous, sustainable, inclusive: meet the “smart” city by Pirita Lindholm Director European Regions Research and Innovation Network (ERRIN) – a member of the Mission Assembly to the Mission for Climate-neutral and smart cities
- Re-thinking local governance in Brussels, by Philippe Mertens, Advisor BRULOCALIS
- SPEAK UP! How to make your city greener? By Michael Creek, Co-Founder Stickydot
The second part of the event will be an interactive session where citizens are able to share ideas on how to turn Brussels into a Climate-neutral & smart city.
